GeeGun (Джиган), real name Denis Aleksandrovich Ustimenko-Vainshtein, was born on August 2, 1985, in Odesa.

His connection with hip-hop began at an early age. After discovering rap music, he built a collection of CDs and vinyl records and became involved in the Odesa hip-hop scene, organizing parties and performing as a DJ.

One of GeeGun's early recorded appearances came in 2005, when he participated in the track “Мои пацаны” by the hip-hop group Крёстная семья. He subsequently joined the group on tour as a DJ.

In 2007, his career entered a new stage when he became an official artist of Black Star Inc. During this period he worked with Timati and began establishing himself with a much wider audience.

A major breakthrough arrived in 2011 with “Отпусти” (Otpusti), recorded with Yulia Savicheva. The song became a major radio success and earned GeeGun his first Golden Gramophone award.

His debut studio album, “Холодное сердце” (Kholodnoe serdtse), followed in 2012 and featured collaborations with numerous established artists.

GeeGun's contract with Black Star Inc. ended on December 31, 2013. He subsequently continued his career through SBA Production and later Warner Music Russia.

Over the following years, he continued releasing albums and singles while developing a musical identity that combines hip-hop and rap with melodic and mainstream pop influences.
